Natalia waits for Mason at a bistro for their date, feeling dissatisfied with life, she escapes to the restroom when he proposes to her. “Twenty minutes passed before Nattie saw Mason walk toward her. She noticed that Mason wore the shirt she bought him last year. Smile and fake. Maybe he won’t notice. Mason walked over to Nattie; she stood on her toes and kissed Mason’s cheek.

Detective Orson communicates with Mrs. Wilson, assuring her of her children’s safety while revealing psychological vulnerabilities stemming from their traumatic past. The children, Connor and Zita, appear stable physically, but Zita’s caretaker role and Connor’s emotional struggles indicate deeper issues. Anekka, Connor’s girlfriend, is haunted by ghosts, complicating their situation further.

Izzie struggles with her feelings toward her father, who’s in the hospital after a car accident. Haunted by his alcoholism – and her cruel last words to him – she drives to the hospital for a final goodbye and resolution with him. “Nothing had gone right for Izzie the past week: her boss gave the promotion to a new employee instead of her, her friends avoided her, and the day before her car was broken into. She probably deserved all of this though.”
